How It All Began
Express Kafeh was created in 2011 by Serge Butman, a seasoned Event Planner and self-proclaimed coffee junkie. Like many great ideas, the company’s inception was quite accidental – it was actually Serge’s wife who sparked the idea. A high school principal in Montreal, she wanted to do something special for the teachers and decided to serve gourmet coffee for Teacher Appreciation week.
Serge searched the entire island for a coffee-bar catering company and, much to his surprise, none existed. Not wanting to disappoint his wife, he rented a commercial espresso machine, bought the best available coffee beans, and hired a barista. The teachers’ event was such a success that a mobile espresso coffee company was born!
The company quickly became the best mobile espresso bar in Canada and was hired to service Tim Hortons (yes, Canada’s famous coffee chain!) at their annual gala appreciation event in 2013! A famous coffee chain hiring our mobile espresso bar is the truly the ultimate compliment!
We are now available in every city in the U.S. and Canada. Looking ahead, we are excited about plans to expand our operations to Europe in the upcoming year.

Having the wonderful Serge Butman, Founding President of Aroma Express at our event; Les Brillants Exploits was a joy for the taste buds. His wonderful blends of coffees with options for delicious flavours were the perfect touch for the party.
I had the pleasure of working with Serge Butman of Aroma Express at our last trade show. Aroma Express had their bicycle mobile/coffee station in our booth and it was a hit with clients!
